The Honey Sliders are retro inspired rock, soul, country, blues act (think Little Feat, Ry Cooder and The Allman Brothers) which comprises of the cream of Brisbane’s musicians; Danny Widdicombe (The Wilson Pickers), Dan Mansfield (You Am I, The Gin Club), Chris Bosley (Resin Dogs) and Ben Carstens (MexicoCity).
The Honey Sliders have become renowned for their annual concept shows covering their favourite music – Neil Young’s ‘Harvest’, The Beatles’ Rooftop Concert, Hendrix’s “Axis: Bold as Love”, The Band’s classic “The Last Waltz” (including Troy Cassar-Daley, Bernard Fanning, Jeff Lang and more), The Stones’ “Sticky Fingers” with Tim Rogers as Mick Jagger, The Beatles’ “Abbey Road”, Cream’s “Disraeli Gears” and Neil Young’s “On the Beach”. Each year The Honey Sliders sell out venues with their respectful and mind-blowingly accurate recreations of these masterpieces of blues, soul, country, and rock n roll.
Each member of the Honey Sliders has toured the world with their music and together they have over 80 years experience on some of the biggest stages anywhere. Their love of music from the ‘golden age’ of rock n roll records from 1965-1975 is a huge influence on their sound.
